Charter School Network Audio Standardisation

A charter network opening five campuses in three years adopted one classroom audio specification across all sites, procuring kits centrally and installing them with the school’s own facilities team.
The Challenge
- New campuses were opening faster than the network could hire AV contractors.
- Each founding principal had a different idea of what classroom audio should include.
- Central procurement needed a predictable unit cost per classroom.
The Solution
- A single classroom specification was agreed: a kit with wireless microphone, receiver and two speakers, plus one charging dock per room.
- KIT-DW-306 kits were used for standard rooms; IR-S2 systems were specified for the two founding campuses with different wall construction.
- Kits were shipped to site pre-configured, with installation completed by the network’s facilities team using a one-page guide.
The Result
140classrooms across 5 campuses
1bill of materials network-wide
1spares pool for all sites
Every new campus opens with the same audio package, and the network carries a single spares inventory instead of five site-specific ones.
