Charging Docks & IR Sensors
Dual and multi-bay charging cradles, rack-mounted charging stations and infrared expansion sensors for classroom soundfield systems.
Charging hardware determines whether a microphone is ready at the start of the first lesson. A dual cradle suits a single classroom where the teacher docks the microphone at the end of the day; a multi-bay station suits a faculty store where microphones are issued and returned. Look for per-slot indication, a charging contact design that tolerates daily use, and enough capacity for spare microphones during battery replacement.
Infrared sensors solve the other half of the reliability problem: shadowed corners, deep stages and rooms where the receiver cannot see the teacher. A sensor connects over CAT5e and extends reception without moving the main unit. Sensor count and position should be planned from a room drawing — more diodes do not compensate for a sensor mounted behind a projector screen or outside the teaching zone.
Both groups are available as spares for existing installations, so a school can add capacity without replacing working equipment. Provide the microphone model and room count when ordering a station, and a ceiling plan when adding sensors, so the parts list matches the installation.
