International School Hybrid-Learning Audio

An international school standardised classroom audio for hybrid lessons, using the DW-3315’s built-in digital sound card to feed video-conference platforms without external audio interfaces.
The Challenge
- Remote pupils could not hear classroom discussion, and teachers were repeating questions for the online cohort.
- Laptop microphones created echo and uneven levels between the teacher and the room.
- Each room had different AV equipment, so the solution had to work with multiple platforms.
The Solution
- DW-3315 systems were installed with USB audio to the room PC, making the classroom system the default microphone and speaker for video calls.
- Ceiling speakers were retained in four rooms through the system’s expansion output; the remaining rooms used the supplied column speakers.
- RS-232 control was configured for the existing room panels so teachers could start a lesson from one button.
The Result
32hybrid-ready classrooms
1USB connection per room
3video platforms supported
Remote and in-room pupils now hear the same lesson at the same level. Teachers no longer manage a separate lapel microphone or laptop audio settings, and IT has a single audio device to support.
