Classroom Audio Applications

One audio principle, many rooms: clear speech for everyone in the class.

Classroom Audio, Applied to Real Rooms

The right system depends on room size, ceiling height, surface materials, teaching style and whether remote students are part of the lesson. These are the applications we specify most often — and the products that usually fit them.

K–12 Classrooms

The core of what we build. A soundfield system lifts the teacher’s voice above classroom noise so pupils in every row hear the lesson without the teacher straining.

  • Even speech coverage at every seat, at a natural teaching volume
  • Pendant microphones that leave both hands free
  • Docking cradles that make charging part of the daily routine

Lecture Halls & Auditoriums

Larger rooms need controlled coverage rather than more power. We combine infrared microphones with amplifiers and speakers sized to the room.

  • Handheld or pendant microphones with laser pointer and page controls
  • Multiple speakers for even coverage front to back
  • Feedback suppression for rooms with hard surfaces and high ceilings

Language Labs

Listening exercises need clean playback and a teacher voice that sits above the material without competing with it.

  • PC or media player input mixed with the teacher microphone
  • Consistent levels for students with hearing assistance
  • Compact all-in-one systems that fit existing lab furniture

Training & Meeting Rooms

Corporate training, teacher development and meeting rooms benefit from the same intelligibility as a classroom, often with a presenter moving around the room.

  • Pendant or handheld microphones for presenters who walk
  • Line and USB outputs for recording and video calls
  • Simple controls that non-technical staff can operate
Recommended:IR-S2DW-3315

Hybrid & Remote Learning

Remote pupils should hear the classroom, not the laptop microphone. A USB digital sound card turns the classroom audio system into the room’s audio interface.

  • USB audio to the room PC for video-conference platforms
  • Echo and noise suppression for two-way lessons
  • One microphone for both the room and the remote audience
Recommended:DW-3315IR-S2

Campus Halls & Events

Assemblies, open days and staff briefings need a microphone that moves with the speaker and a system that can be set up without an AV technician.

  • Handheld infrared microphones with all-day battery
  • Portable systems that can move between rooms
  • Charging docks that keep a spare microphone ready
Recommended:IR-630HIR-S2

How We Specify a Room

01

Survey the Room

Dimensions, ceiling height, seating layout and surface materials determine speaker count and placement. We ask for photos or a simple plan.

02

Match the System

Room size and teaching style decide whether an all-in-one system, a receiver and amplifier, or a multi-speaker configuration is the better fit.

03

Commission & Hand Over

We provide a commissioning checklist covering speech level, speaker angle, feedback margin and hybrid-audio testing before the room goes into service.

Not sure which application fits your project?

Send us the room types and we will map them to a system and speaker layout.
